Enza Zaden's e-licensing platform now live

Enkhuizen, The Netherlands
November 2, 2012

As of today, the Enza Zaden e-licensing platform is live on our website. E-licensing offers researchers and breeders worldwide the possibility to access our inventions online. Through this platform we make our Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio transparent and accessible to all relevant parties.

Jaap Mazereeuw, CEO of Enza Zaden: "We are a highly innovative vegetable breeding company that spend more than 30% of our annual turnover on R&D. We therefore support adequate protection of our inventions through both plant breeders’ rights and patent rights. Yet we make them accessible to other researchers and breeders to ensure further innovation".

Joep Lambalk, Director of R&D, adds: "We consider e-licensing as a practical step towards an industry led solution, because it provides transparency and accessibility to all relevant parties."

The e-licensing platform will regularly be updated and further expanded.
