La Crosse Forage & Turf Seed, LLC announces key additions and changes to sales and operations staff

La Crosse Forage & Turf Seed (LFT), a regional seed company and distributor focused on the forage, cover crop and turf seed markets has recently added number of key staff members to enhance service to its customers and support growth plans for the company.
“With the growth our company has experienced, and the new heights we are endeavoring to achieve, we continue to evaluate the need for new roles to strategically expand our organization; and seek out top-notch talent to fill those roles,” states Dan Foor, Chief Operating Officer for the company.
Patrick Reed is the most recent addition to LFT, having been selected to the newly created position of National Sales Manager. Patrick previously enjoyed a career spanning twenty years with Novozymes BioAg that included important leadership roles as Customer Solutions Manager, Director of Product Development, and Sales and Marketing Manager, among others. Most recently, Patrick led Novozymes’ venture into the development and launch of a biological pest control technology platform in the U.S. vegetable and greenhouse nursery markets. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, and has been a Certified Crop Adviser since 1999. Patrick will lead the growing sales team of fifteen forage and turf specialists covering the north central United States.
Jeff Wienkes, joined in November of last year as the Forage & Turf Specialist responsible for Southeastern Wisconsin. Jeff is based in the Madison area and will ensure top-notch sales service and support in Dane County and the surrounding area. Before La Crosse Forage & Turf, Jeff gained valuable experience in customer service and management at a Middleton-based supplier of turf products. He also has practical experience with over five years of selling and installing landscapes previously. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin- Platteville.
Scott Wohltman was brought on board as a Forage & Turf Specialist in October after seven years with WinField Solutions. Most recently, he supported WinField and Monsanto’s efforts to advise large growers in southern Illinois on their row crop seed, adjuvant, starter fertilizer and micronutrient needs. His sales experience includes nearly ten years in small seed (turf and forage, cover crops, and alfalfa). Scott has a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University. Scott covers Eastern Illinois, Southwest Indiana and Kentucky.
