Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) opens registration for its 21st Annual Conference

Omaha, Nebraska, USA
September 21, 2009

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) is now offering online registration for the 21st Annual Conference. The conference will take place January 19th through January 21st at the Westin, Indianapolis. Registrations for Sponsors and Trade Show Vendors are also being accepted online.

IPSA has developed an aggressive plan to provide key programs delivered by outstanding speakers during this event. Over 260 people registered and attended the conference in 2009, which one long-time member commented was, "the best set of speakers' I've seen at any industry program."

The 21st Annual IPSA Conference themed "Champions for Independence," kicks off on Tuesday, January 19th with an event at the NCAA Hall of Champions filled with competitive, team-building activities designed to facilitate interaction among employees and between regular, associate and affiliate members.

On Wednesday, January 20th, Purdue University will begin an all day educational program that will focus on topics relevant to all types of seed, including educational and business development opportunities, and an in-depth look at the results from the Large Commercial Producer Survey.

A trade show will feature exhibits in two high traffic locations which will offer ample networking opportunities for vendors. Networking opportunities continue with an open evening Wednesday followed by the third annual "Casino Night" and Texas Hold'em tournament.

IPSA's Annual Meeting continues to rate as the greatest benefit to most IPSA members. Held each January, this 3-day convention focuses on topics that are vital to the success of independent seed companies. Tailored to our members, the convention features exciting keynote speakers from inside and outside of the industry. Breakout sessions covering a variety of topics offer another excellent educational opportunity for our members and their employees. The meeting also boasts an industry leading trade show with vendors from across the country and Canada.

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) was formed in 1989 by a group of independent seed producers who recognized the need for an organization to represent independent seed companies world-wide. The Association addresses research and biotechnology issues and increases the media presence of the industry in an increasingly competitive and dynamic business climate. IPSA represents approximately 100 seed companies from 20 states and Canada, who produce approximately 15 percent of the corn, soybeans, small grain and forage seeds marketed annually.
