Cody Braun joins Latham Hi-Tech Seeds as Area Sales Manager

Alexander, Iowa, USA
July 27, 2012

Cody Braun of Aberdeen, S.D., has joined Latham Hi-Tech Seeds as an area sales manager.

“I joined Latham because it is a family owned company that pays great attention to detail when it comes to choosing the proper hybrids for the different areas that they cover,” says Braun, who sold for three other seed companies before joining the Latham team.

“When I was working for a corporate seed company, it was almost impossible to choose a hybrid for a specific area because companies that large must cover a large geographical area with one hybrid,” says Braun. “As an independent seed company, Latham can deliver more options tailored to a specific farmer’s needs, a specific geographic region and local growing conditions.”

Braun understands, first-hand, the importance of selecting the right seed for the right soil. He also understands a farmer’s desire to help each field reach its full yield potential as Braun remains active with his family’s farming operation. His dad and uncle farm together west of Aberdeen, and his mom manages the family’s farrow-to-finish hog operation. They raise corn, soybeans and wheat plus 350 head of cattle. Braun’s younger brother plays baseball at Dakota State University in Madison, S.D. His sister, who’s in the eighth grade, competes in poles and barrel racing.

“What I enjoy most about selling seed is that it allows me the opportunity to work with a lot of different people,” adds Braun. “I like helping farmers adjust their farming practices to help them get the maximum yield for their farms. That’s one reason I’m so excited about Latham’s Seed-2-Soil® program.”

Latham Hi-Tech Seeds is an independent seed company committed to bringing world-class technology home® to rural communities in Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Wisconsin. It’s owned by third-generation seedsman John Latham and his wife, Shannon, and John’s brother, Chris. The Latham name has stood for the latest genetics and highest quality since 1947.
