For example, AM 1511 B2RF was rated one of the highest commercial varieties in the Texas A&M University Nueces Monster cotton Variety Trial (MVT) vigor test, conducted by Dan Fromme in Corpus Christi. The study blindly tested (the researcher did not know what variety he was looking at) 41 varieties and 4 reps. Ratings are for 7 days after emergence: 1-5 ratings, 1=poor, 5=excellent. AM 1511 B2RF scored 4.8.

The grower had never seen cotton come up so fast.”
