Bayer CropScience Canada has been named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People two years in a row. Organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, this special category (Top Employers for Young People) recognizes the companies that offer the nation’s best benefits for younger workers. Each employer is evaluated according to the programs they use to attract and retain young talent, which Bayer CropScience Canada has done for the second year in a row.
Bayer CropScience has been recognized as a top employer on numerous occasions, including being selected as a Regional Winner of Canada’s Top Most Admired Corporate Cultures Program and was also selected again as one of Alberta’s Top 50 Employers for 2011(http://www.bayercropscience.ca/our-company/careers/).
“We’re proud of our young employees and proud to repeat this award in 2011,” said Kamel Beliazi President & CEO of Bayer CropScience. “There is a trend in our industry to maintain more experienced employees, so when we can attract and retain a younger generation, it not only helps us for the future, but the future of agriculture.”
Bayer CropScience was chosen for its flexible health benefits plan which allows employees to tailor their health coverage. Other highlights include the summer associate hiring program, and the education and development programs, such as the customized MBA-style training program in conjunction with the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.
“This acknowledgment helps confirm our approach to our younger talent,” added Nicole Davis, HR Director at Bayer CropScience. “As with the other Top Employers, we have many offerings but continue to maintain balancing employee needs in a changing environment.”
