SGS Mid-West Seed Services announces Seed Quality Workshop and Seed Sampler Workshop


Brookings, South Dakota

SGS announces a seed sampling workshop to be held in Brookings, South Dakota, on May 14-15, 2009.

ISTA, AOSA and CFIA sampling rules will be reviewed, as will sampling methods, sealing seed lots, subdividing
samples and a review of ISTA certificates. Participants completing the workshop will be taking the first
step towards accreditation to sample for ISTA certificates.

This workshop is an excellent education experience for anyone sampling seed, regardless if it will be exported or not. Milt Haugen, Croplan Genetics, participated in a seed sampling workshop and suggests “To do justice to your customer and your company’s product, everyone should attend a sampler workshop.”

The session will begin at 8:00 a.m. on May 14th and conclude at noon on May 15th. The workshop will be held at SGS. Please see our website,
