Syngenta’s GM maize MIR162 approved for food in Russia and the Customs Union

Syngenta’s maize SYN-IR162-4 (MIR162) resistant to Lepidoptera pests was approved for Import and Food use in Russia, and to Belarus and Kazahstan (following the new customs union between these three countries) on 29 June 2011.
Registration Certificate RU.77.99.26.011.E.022882.06.11 was issued after the positive expert opinion from 28 April 2011.
