Beck’s Superior Hybrids, Inc. (Beck’s) is pleased to announce that it will distribute Phoenix™ brand corn hybrids from Syngenta in its marketing area beginning with the 2012 growing season. The new Phoenix brand will offer Beck’s customers the opportunity to purchase hybrids containing diverse genetics and leading trait technologies, such as Agrisure® 3000GT and Agrisure Viptera™ 3111 trait stacks, from their local Beck’s representatives.
“When we walk fields with our customers they increasingly ask for more genetic diversity and innovative trait technology to improve yields and better manage risk,” said Sonny Beck, President, Beck’s Superior Hybrids, Inc. “Our distribution agreement for Phoenix corn hybrids makes it possible to offer growers an even better customer experience.”
The Phoenix distribution agreement underscores the deep commitment of both Syngenta and Beck’s to provide the widest range of choices for growers. In 1996, Beck’s and Syngenta worked together to bring the first single trait corn borer resistant hybrids (Bt11) to growers inside Beck’s marketing area. Now, through the Phoenix brand distribution agreement, growers will benefit from an even broader and deeper commitment to bring more diverse genetics and technologies to the farmer through Beck’s trusted representatives.
“Growers tell us that they appreciate having more options for buying their seed corn. That’s why Syngenta offers a wide choice of products and availability including through independent seed companies like Beck’s,” said David Morgan, Syngenta region director of North America and president of Syngenta Seeds, Inc. “In 2010, Beck’s was among the first companies to produce and offer the Agrisure Viptera 3111 trait stack. And now they will distribute the new Phoenix brand to growers in the Eastern Corn Belt. We look forward to continuing our long standing relationship with Sonny and his team.”
