Enza Zaden officially opens its first commercial subsidiary in South America

This week, Enza Zaden has officially opened its Brazilian commercial subsidiary. Enza Zaden Importação e Exportação de Sementes Ltda was already legally established in May 2010. As of this week, Enza Zaden Brazil is now officially in operation with five employees.

The new subsidiary is located in the horticultural town of Holambra in the state of São Paulo, the biggest vegetable growing area in Brazil. Hein Bemelmans, Director Marketing & Sales of Enza Zaden, and Margareti Grooti, the Mayor of Holambra, together ‘cut the ribbon’ to launch the young company into a future role as one of the major players in the Brazilian professional vegetable seed market.

Everybody was welcomed by Jean François Hardouin, the General Manager of Enza Zaden Brazil. The event was timed to coincide with the Hortitec, the annual horticultural fair in Holambra.
