SGS recently launched its Seed & Crop Services in the People’s Republic of China. The first field trial for agricultural research started in Changping near Beijing and focused on identifying the influence of a corn variety to density and confirmed its suitable density. Now SGS China performs trials for fertilizer companies to identify optimum doses and application method.
SGS has all necessary accreditations for testing GM seeds and cooperates with the major seed companies in our PCR lab in Shanghai.
SGS has created a network of field trials stations located in Europe, North & South America and Asia to provide standardized services to the world’s major biotechnology, agrochemical and fertilizer producing companies.
These centers provide a comprehensive field trials service in accordance with the GLP and GEP accreditations. Our experienced staff can conduct field trials to support the screening, development and registration of agricultural and horticultural chemicals, bio-pesticides, fertilizers and also new plant varieties and seeds.
