The 15th edition of Syngenta Peppers Today Newsletter provides a pepper approach the APAC region. India, China, South Korea and Indonesia are the leading chilli pepper producers and “Syngenta Seeds is active in these areas” explains the writer of our Editorial Mr. Aru Sinha, S&G Product Business Manager for Peppers for the APAC region.

The largest pepper producer in the world: China produced 14 million tonnes of peppers in 2007. This report offers official figures on bell and chilli pepper production, exports and imports in the APAC country.

Dry chili pepper overview: India accounted for 32% of the world’s dry chilli and peppers production in 2007 while Pakistan contributed by 5,5% of total production in the world.
