Mr Jos van der Wielen has been appointed Managing Director of Barenbrug Holland BV as of 1 May 2011. As such, he will focus on the further international growth of the enterprise. The company’s core business is plant breeding, seed production and the marketing of innovative grasses and fodder crops for several domestic markets and a large number of export markets in Europe.
Jos van der Wielen (47) has broad experience in the international seed industry. He was Business Manager for Flowers at Syngenta Seeds BV from 2006. Under his management, the Flowers Netherlands/Belgium/Scandinavia division generated substantial and stable growth. From 1990 to 2006, Jos van der Wielen also worked for Barenbrug Holland BV, holding various positions including Head of Export and was a member of the management team.

Barenbrug benoemt Algemeen Directeur
De heer Jos van der Wielen is per 1 mei 2011 benoemd tot Algemeen Directeur van Barenbrug Holland BV. In deze positie focust hij zich op de verdere internationale groei van de onderneming. Deze richt zich op plantenveredeling, zaadproductie en marketing van innovatieve grassen en voedergewassen voor verschillende thuismarkten en een groot aantal exportmarkten in Europa.
Jos van der Wielen (47) heeft een brede ervaring in de internationale zaadindustrie. Vanaf 2006 was hij werkzaam bij Syngenta Seeds BV als Business Manager Flowers. Onder zijn leiding realiseerde divisie Flowers Nederland/België/Scandinavië een forse en stabiele groei. Van 1990 tot 2006 was Jos van der Wielen al werkzaam bij Barenbrug Holland BV in verschillende functies waaronder Hoofd Export en ook was hij lid van het management team.
