Verisem Group acquires Blumen Vegetable Seeds: a new vision in the world of professional seeds

The Verisem Group has acquired the Blumen Vegetable Seeds business to enhance its expertise in the seed sector, further solidifying its well-established presence in Italy with Suba Seeds and expanding its reach into international markets. This partnership, set to be officially announced at Fruit Logistica Berlin, aims to provide customers with more advanced and comprehensive solutions in the seed industry.

Alberto Dezza, Managing Director Verisem Italia: ‘This marks the beginning of a new business journey, driven by increasingly ambitious goals: to proudly represent our country’s rich tradition worldwide while continuing to fulfill our customers’ needs.’

The international seed group Verisem, best known in Italy for its subsidiary Suba Seeds, is expanding its professional seed division by acquiring Blumen Vegetable Seeds, the division of the Blumen Group Spa focused on professional vegetable seeds. The agreement includes the transfer of Blumen Group’s intellectual property rights, the genetic heritage developed by the company, the brands Olter and Four and its staff, who will join Verisem and bring decades worth of knowledge and know-how to the Verisem platform.

The activities and personnel of Blumen Vegetable Seeds have been merged into Verisem Italia, a newly established company of the group, which will guarantee ongoing relationships with its many customers. Operations will continue in the current headquarters in Piacenza and at the research centers in Piemonte, in Asti, in Lazio, in San Felice Circeo (LT), and in Sicily, in Vittoria (RG).

The partnership will bring exciting new opportunities for the Blumen Vegetable Seeds brand on an international level, showcasing a company that has been recognized in Italy for over sixty years for its dedication and professionalism in breeding and research – areas it will focus on even more following its acquisition by the Verisem Group.

Verisem Italia will present its new look of the companied companies at Fruit Logistica, in Berlin on February 5-6-7, 2025.
