AGCO statement on favorable court decision for SpeedTube technology

USA
January 24, 2025

The Federal Circuit today ruled that AGCO Corp successfully defeated Deere & Co.’s appeal of a Delaware jury’s verdict regarding Precision Planting’s SpeedTube-vSet2 (SpeedTube) product, a high-speed planting system. Precision Planting is a leading brand of AGCO. The Federal Circuit confirmed the U.S. District Court ruling that AGCO and Precision Planting did not infringe Deere’s intellectual property. Deere argued unsuccessfully both during and after a July 2022 trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware that AGCO’s seed delivery tools infringed claims from Deere’s U.S. patents. The Federal Circuit has now also rejected Deere’s arguments. We are pleased with the court decision in favor of AGCO and Precision Planting. This ruling validates our commitment to innovation and the integrity of our products. We remain dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions to our customers and will continue to focus on advancing our technology.
