According to the EEC, in 2024, the regulatory framework in the phytosanitary sphere was significantly supplemented.

The amended procedures will make it possible to exclude the introduction by one of the Member States of unjustified prohibitions related to the import or movement of quarantined products.

"It will also ensure transparency in the import and relocation of crop products while maintaining the proper level of phytosanitary security of the union," Kaliaskarov said.

According to the EEC estimates, the new measures will help conscientious entrepreneurs reduce the time spent on phytosanitary control.
