The Composition Committee on Recommended Variety List has decided to include 5 new varieties of ryegrass, forage type, in the 2025 Recommended Variety List. These are four varieties from the Barenbrug breeding company and one new variety bred by the Danish company DLF.

In the category ‘English ryegrass - late bolting (meadow type) - diploid varieties ’, Barpendel from Barenbrug and Molner from DLF have been included as new varieties. In the category ‘Perennial ryegrass - medium overshoot (late hay type) - diploid varieties’, Bartui and Novix from Barenbrug are new. In the category ‘Perennial ryegrass - medium overshooting (late hay type) - tetraploid varieties’, Barrialto by Barenbrug is a new variety in the 2025 Recommended Varieties List.
