On January 1st, Arend Schot will join the Bejo management team as the new Director Country & Sales.
In this, he succeeds Martin van der Voort who will retire next year and has been at the helm of the Sales and Marketing organisation at Bejo since 2011. From January, he will hand over his responsibilities to Arend Schot. Bejo is busy preparing its organisation for future further growth. It has been decided to fully concentrate country management under the responsibility of the new management position Director Country & Sales.
Arend Schot brings with him many years of knowledge of and experience in the international seed sector. At Syngenta, he has held various strategic management positions, of which the last eight years as Head Vegetable Seeds Europe, Africa and Middle East.
Managing Director John-Pieter Schipper: ‘Bejo is a strong international growing company. The consumption of vegetables and the demand for high-quality vegetable varieties for different climate and growing regions continues to increase. Making cultivation more sustainable is pivotal to this. There is a lot of sales and organisational development in both established markets and markets that are new to Bejo. Arend Schot nieuwe Director Country & Sales bij Bejo
Op 1 januari zal Arend Schot als nieuwe Director Country & Sales toetreden tot het directieteam van Bejo.
Hierin volgt hij Martin van der Voort op, die het komend jaar met pensioen zal gaan en sinds 2011 bij Bejo aan het roer staat van de Sales- en Marketingorganisatie. Vanaf januari zal hij zijn verantwoordelijkheden overdragen aan Arend Schot. Bejo is volop bezig haar organisatie klaar te maken voor toekomstige verdere groei. Er is gekozen om het landenmanagement volledig te concentreren onder de verantwoordelijkheid van de nieuwe directiefunctie Director Country & Sales.
Arend Schot brengt jarenlange kennis van en ervaring in de internationale zaadsector met zich mee. Bij Syngenta heeft hij diverse strategische managementposities vervuld, waarvan de laatste 8 jaar als Head Vegetable Seeds Europe, Africa and Middle East.

De consumptie van groente en de vraag naar hoogwaardige groenterassen voor verschillende klimaat- en teeltgebieden blijft toenemen. Verduurzaming van de teelt staat daarin centraal. Zowel in de gevestigde als de voor Bejo nieuwe markten is er veel afzet- en organisatorische ontwikkeling.
