ISI Sementi and Top Seeds International announce strategic integration to strengthen its services to customers worldwide

Italy and Israel
November 20, 2024

ISI Sementi SpA, a leading vegetable seed-breeding company based in Italy, and Top Seeds International Ltd., an innovative seed-breeding company headquartered in Israel, both subsidiaries of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., today announced its plan to integrate into one consolidated company. The integrated company will be based in Fidenza, Italy and will have a clear focus to better and more closely serve customers in core markets, building on both companies’ well-established global locations, and leveraging complementary unique strengths especially in breeding & research to develop innovative vegetable varieties and offer more comprehensive, distinctive seed solutions to customers worldwide.

As part of the integrated company’s long-term vision; to advance horticulture through innovation and partnerships, it will further focus on co-creating solutions that will support the production of high-quality and resilient crops that meet the needs of consumers in key markets and offer customers across geographies with a broader portfolio of choices, including tomatoes, peppers, leafy greens, brassicas, onions, and cucumbers.

Regular updates will be provided regarding this integration. The operations under the new company structure are scheduled to commence in April 2025.
