As the 2025 Organic Seed Growers Conference approaches, we are excited to unveil this year’s theme: “Weaving Visions of Organic Seed Communities.” This theme was inspired by thoughtful discussions with our planning committee, drawing on the diverse threads of the organic seed movement. Each seed steward, grower, and advocate brings a unique perspective and practice to our collective work of cultivating sustainable, regenerative seed and food systems.
From February 26th to March 1st, 2025, we’ll gather in Corvallis, Oregon, and online to explore critical challenges and opportunities in organic seed systems. The conference opens with pre-conference events including a Spanish-speaking Intensive on organic farming and seed production, an Intellectual Property Rights Symposium, and the always-popular Farm Tour. The main conference will feature panel discussions, lightning talks, poster presentations, and opportunities to connect through art, seed swaps, and celebration.
The conference artwork centers on the basket—a symbol woven through cultures worldwide, representing biodiversity, food sovereignty, and abundance. This imagery reflects our theme’s invitation to strengthen the connections that sustain the seed movement while honoring the distinct yet interwoven histories and collective wisdom of seed stewards around the world.
We hope you will join us, in person or virtually, as we shape a future that values resilience, reciprocity, and the foundational relationships between seeds and people.

Pre-Conference Offerings
The Conference week also includes three pre-conference deep-dive educational opportunities. Taking place on February 26th and 27th in Corvallis, Oregon (and some virtually), these events will offer opportunities for in-depth learning about seed production and intellectual property rights used on seed. These pre-conference events are a great way to engage with the organic seed movement and connect with fellow growers before the full conference begins. Read on for more details.
