Hiroshi Sakata, President of Sakata Seed Corporation was appointed as honorary life member of the ISF (International Seed Federation), during the President’s Dinner of the 100 Anniversary ISF World Seed Congress in Rotterdam.

It is awarded to an ISF member who has made a particularly outstanding contribution to the ISF, and only 18 people have been appointed in the 100-year history of the organization.

Hiroshi has served on the ISF Board of Directors with PASSION for 10 long years. This is the longest period in ISF history, and he was honored for his achievements.

“It is my great pleasure to be here with you to be awarded the “Honorary Life Membership”, particularly on this occasion of centennial anniversary of historic ISF here in the Netherlands, a memorable country for me.” said Hiroshi.

“At my age, I often remember what Takeo Sakata, our founder, used to say in his later years, 'There is no end to the world of seeds, therefore, there is no end to my work'. With a group slogan “PASSION in Seed”, we keep on delivering smile and health to the world through our seeds.”
