Certhon will be building the complex, which will consist of two blocks. Block 1, located at Monnikenlaan 2 (where an empty plot with foundation piles had been waiting for construction to start), will serve as a research center, while Block 2 will be specifically set up for (back)crossing programs.

Sandor van Vliet, General Director of Axia Vegetable Seeds, said: “The establishment of this new research center aligns perfectly with our core value: innovation. The center will play a crucial role in the development and breeding of our distinctive tomato assortment.”
