Syngenta Crop Protection welcomes Riley Titus to U.S. state affairs team

Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
May 30, 2024

Syngenta Crop Protection is proud to announce that Riley Titus has accepted the position of state affairs lead, effective May 20, 2024, reporting to David Flakne, head of U.S. State Affairs. In this role, Riley will oversee the management and implementation of legislative and regulatory priorities and stakeholder relations in key states within the western corn belt, mid-South and mid-Atlantic regions. He joins a team of four who advocate for and support the U.S. business.

“At Syngenta, we’re excited to have Riley Titus join our U.S. state affairs team,” says Flakne. “He brings to our team a wealth of knowledge and key relationships, and years of experience representing the crop protection industry before state legislatures, regulators, and stakeholder groups. We welcome his addition and the impact he’ll bring to our commitment and work on behalf of agriculture and the producers we serve, our license to operate, and the continued growth of our industry.”

Titus began his career in government relations and public policy in 2012 after graduating from Florida State University with a degree in environmental science and policy. He comes to Syngenta from CropLife America, where he held the position of director of state government relations and managed stakeholder engagement and directed state advocacy efforts for the last eight years. Prior to CropLife America, he worked at RISE as a manager of state public affairs and the International Franchise Association as a manager of government relations and public policy.
