Direct Enterprises Inc., an independent provider of agricultural products and services, announces the addition of Mitch Ray to its sales team. Ray will be responsible for the sale of soybean genetics, seed treatments, inoculants and other seed treatment additives to independent seed companies in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. In addition, he will be selling seed treating equipment and handle seed treatment sales to seed companies and dealers in Michigan.

“Mitch Ray brings a tremendous amount of experience to our company and will be a valuable asset to our customers,” says Bill Haubner, president of Direct Enterprises.
Ray’s career in the seed business has spanned 34 years, including 19 years at Great Lakes Hybrids where he served as plant manager, product manager and agronomy manager. He is a Certified Crop Advisor in the state of Indiana and has extensive experience in product training, marketing and sales.

“As a former product manager, I know what seed companies are looking for and I look forward to providing them with our strong line-up of conventional and Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® genetics,” says Ray. “We market soybeans ranging in maturity from Group 0 all the way up to Group 4.”

Ray is a graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Technical Agriculture with an associate’s degree in horticulture. He grew up on a grain and cattle farm in Tekamah, Neb.
