With the addition of Cordon, Nufarm now has one of the largest cereal graminicide product portfolios for farmers in Western Canada,” comments Grant Deveson, Nufarm’s Calgary based Commercial Manager. Along with Cordon, Nufarm offers Signal®, Achieve® Liquid Gold and Assert®, brands for growers looking to manage weed control on their farms.
New Cordon contains the same active ingredient fenoxaprop found in Puma®Super, which is widely used on wheat and barley acres across Western Canada. Cordon is a group 1 herbicide for control of wild oats, green foxtail, yellow foxtail and barnyard grass in spring wheat, durum wheat and barley. Cordon can be tank mixed with a wide range of broad leaf herbicides for one pass weed control.
Breaking with tradition: When Nufarm broke from the pack as the first company to end rebate and bundling programs, growers and retailers shared in their approval. As part of the Nufarm product family Cordon will be free of grower rebates.
Nufarm has stepped up to become Canada’s leading provider of high-quality crop protection products – products known for helping growers save money without risking reliability and quality. Today, Nufarm operates in over 100 countries and has been in business for 50 years. The Canadian office opened in 1997 and is located in Calgary, AB.
