Verdesian Life Sciences announces Clare Doyle as its new Chief Executive Officer

Cary, North Carolina, USA
July 27, 2023

Verdesian Life Sciences, the premier nutrient use efficiency company in agriculture, is pleased to announce Clare Doyle as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She will take the helm of the company in mid-August.

Doyle brings to Verdesian more than 35 years of experience across a variety of industries, most notably electronics, specialty chemicals and building materials sectors. She most recently served as the Chief Sustainability Officer for Masonite International, a role she has held since October 2021, where she was responsible for building and implementing the company’s ESG strategy. Prior to this role, Clare was the Senior Vice President and General Manager-Masonite Europe where she led the transformation of Masonite’s businesses in the region.

Doyle joined Masonite in 2016 as Senior Vice President and Business Leader – Components, a business with 13 manufacturing locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia and more than 1,000 employees. Before joining Masonite, she was with Elementis PLC from 2010-2016, most recently as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to that, she spent 11 years with Rohm and Haas Company in various roles in Electronic Materials, Architectural & Functional Coatings, and Corporate Development.

“Over the last four months, the selection committee of the Verdesian Board of Directors has been hard at work considering and interviewing a large set of very capable candidates to take the reins as CEO at Verdesian,” said Fred Lynch, interim CEO. “It was evident that Clare possessed the business and technical skills, strategic vision and leadership talent to guide Verdesian to the next level of performance across all functions.”

“Verdesian holds a special place in the marketplace as the leader in nutrient use efficiency products,” said Doyle. “Our products make a difference to our customers, our growers, to the environment and to the world. I’m very excited to join the team and continue the work that has been going on for more than a decade now.”

Doyle earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tulane University and an MBA from Columbia University. She also holds a Sustainable Capitalism Certificate from Berkeley Law Executive Education.

Lynch will assume the position of Verdesian Board Chairman upon this transition.
