The SME Fund is a European Commission initiative implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and will run from 23 January 2023 to 8 December 2023. This fund provides vouchers for intellectual property protection to small and medium-sized enterprises within the EU.
This year, 4 vouchers have been published:
- Voucher 1: IP scan – get up to EUR 1,350 on expert advice for your IP strategy
- Voucher 2: trade marks and designs – save EUR 1,000 to use for eligible fees
- Voucher 3: patents – save EUR 1,500 to use for eligible fees
- Voucher 4: community plant variety – gain EUR 225 for the online application fee
The Community Plant Variety voucher (4) from the SME Fund is an excellent opportunity to protect plant varieties and boost innovation in the sector.
Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can contact Naktuinbouw for the IP scan.

Subsidie op online aanmelden Europees kwekersrecht en IP-scan
Het MKB-Fonds 'Ideas Powered for business' is een subsidieregeling om kleine en middelgrote ondernemingen in de EU te helpen met hun rechten op intellectuele-eigendom (IE). Het MKB-Fonds is een initiatief van de Europese Commissie dat wordt uitgevoerd door het Bureau voor intellectuele eigendom van de Europese Unie (EUIPO) en loopt van 23 januari 2023 tot 8 december 2023.
Dit jaar zijn er 4 vouchers:
- Voucher 1: IP-scan – krijg tot € 1.350 aan deskundig advies voor uw IP-strategie (Itellectual Property)
- Voucher 2: handelsmerken en modellen – bespaar € 1.000 om te gebruiken voor in aanmerking komende vergoedingen
- Voucher 3: patenten – bespaar € 1.500 om te gebruiken voor in aanmerking komende vergoedingen
- Voucher 4: Europees kwekersrecht – ontvang 225 euro voor de online aanmelding
De Europees kwekersrechtvoucher (4) uit het MKB-fonds is een uitgelezen kans voor het MKB om plantenrassen te beschermen en de innovatie in de sector een boost te geven. Voor de IP-scan kunt u bij Naktuinbouw terecht.
De subsidie is beperkt beschikbaar op basis van wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt.
