Reducing input and synthetic products is a hot topic in the EU, and the Czech Republic is no exception. Here, we are registering intense interest in Microclover® for lawns, and we have launched new turf trials with mixtures high on tall fescue that are composed with robust characteristics for withstanding droughts and requiring less input and maintenance. In cities, we are working to discover how areas with turf and Microclover® can alleviate the problem of so-called Urban Heat Island Effect, whereby urban areas create islands of heat that increase air pollution, generate heat and increase energy costs related to air-conditioning as well as heat-related diseases in people.
