Agdia Biofords has enlarged its product portfolio for plant biotechnologies, R&D and the agroindustry actors

Agdia Biofords (Evry, France) has just finalized a distribution agreement for the European Union countries with Phytotechnology Laboratories (PTL, Kansas, USA). PTL has more than 450 quality products for the utilization in the Plant Biotechnology labs and the agro industry.

Agdia Biofords, member of French Genopole®, and its US partner Agdia Inc. (Elkhart, Indiana), are world leading companies for creating and supplying detection kits for plant pathogens, growth hormones and GMO’s.

This signed agreement with PTL will allow Agdia Biofords to serve R&D Plant stations, Seed companies, nurseries and agro industries with a large range of in vivo and in vitro culture products and equipments starting from January 2011.

Among the main distributed products from PTL, all liquid and solid media for in vitro culture (orchids, blueberries, bean, etc..), gelling agents, vitamins, sugars, plant hormones and antibiotics. Other products as non toxic colchicine’s substitutes for chromosome doubling or mutations will be also available.

Agdia Biofords will distribute PTL products within all the European territory including Russia with a very good price/quality ratio and respecting FDA (Food and Drug Administration) standards and qualities required by the cGMP programs (current Good Manufacturing Practice).

For Dr. Marc MASSON, CEO and Scientific Director of Agdia Biofords, “this partnership will allow Agdia Biofords to provide vitro plants producers, nursery people and breeders a comprehensive set of products and services gathering performing media but, also, a very large array of diagnostic tools and services to increase their sanitary controls on their foundation stock Plant material”. Agdia Biofords can provide specific antibodies, DNA and RNA primers, probes and hybridization membranes to detect viroids, phytoplasms, viral families, bacteria and fungi with very user-friendly formats to handle".
