Bayer appoints Ben Kampelman as Vice President of Communications for Crop Science North America

St. Louis, Missouri, USA
January 24, 2023

Bayer today announced that Ben Kampelman, formerly Director, Strategic Communications for Crop Science North America, has been appointed to the role of Vice President of Communications, Crop Science North America.

In this role, Kampelman will lead all internal and external corporate communications activities, including corporate reputation, media relations, employee communications and digital communications for the Crop Science division in North America.

“From his many years with the company, Ben brings a vast knowledge of our business but combines that experience with an optimism for the future of agriculture and how Bayer can realize its vision of Health for All, Hunger for None,” said Beth Roden, Senior Vice President and Head of Communications for Bayer U.S. “His expertise will be key in continuing to drive communications and support the reputation of our largest division in our largest region.”

Kampelman joined the Bayer U.S. Communications Team from its Global Investor Relations team, where he was responsible for investor communication and presentations, including sell-side conference participation, special investor events, quarterly earnings reporting and issues management with a focus on the Crop Science division. He started his career at Monsanto more than 20 years ago, joining the company as a Communications Associate and has served a variety of roles with increasing responsibilities across communications, operations and marketing. Kampelman has supported internal communications for the U.S. sales division; led coordination of the Technology organization’s communication; and served as a marketing manager where he developed the brand messaging plan for one of the company’s key herbicide tolerance platforms.

“I am very excited to take on this new role and become part of the U.S. Communications leadership team and work with my Crop Science communications colleagues around to globe,” Kampelman said. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with colleagues to help drive communications in North America.”

Kampelman assumed his new responsibilities in November 2022. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
