TJ Technologies announces Yield Advantage with Quickroots on alfalfa

Watertown, South Dakota, USA
January 31, 2011

TJ Technologies today announced the yield results from independent yield trials conducted by seed companies and universities on Alfalfa seed treated with QuickRoots in a two year study. The replicated plot locations were in New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota.

QuickRoots is patented and a novel technology that is understood by the seed. QuickRoots products are composed of Trichoderma virens and Bacillus subtillus var. amyloiquefaciens which are live microorganisms that can quickly colonize and grow with the root as the plant develops.

The microorganisms in QuickRoots has been shown to increase availability of certain plant nutrients, QuickRoots can release plant available phosphorous from sources in the soil. Increase phosphorous availability has been shown to increase root mass, allowing the plant to explore a greater volume of soil. Increase plant nutrient availability will often lease to increase plant health and vigor which can translate into a yield response.

QuickRoots® Yield Advantage (increased alfalfa yield = tons per acre)

+ 0.4 Ton Increase – Seedling Year
+ 0.6 Ton Increase – Second Year
Replicated Plots – New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota Locations

QuickRoots novel enzymes make soil nutrients plant available in the root zone. Ultimately, this increase in nutrient availability increases root mass, allowing the root to explore a greater volume of soil – the Key to Higher Yields.
