Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) announces officers for 2011

The Independent Professional Seed Association (IPSA) welcomed 2011 with its 22nd Annual Conference and Trade Show, January 18-20 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Attendance and registrations surpassed 330 for a program which featured outstanding
keynote speakers on a variety of relevant topics.
A key responsibility of members at the IPSA Annual Conference is to make elections to the IPSA Board of Directors and to select Association Officers for the coming year.
Board members elected this year for initial three-year terms include:
- John Larimer, Partners Brand Seed LLC, Howe, Indiana
- Shane Ohlde, Ohlde Seed Farm, Palmer, Kansas
- Randy Wilken, MWS Seeds LLC, Ashkum, Illinois
Additionally, the following Officers were elected by the Board for the coming year:
- President – Steve Kinsell, Silver Lane Hybrids in Remington, Indiana
- First Vice President – John Hennenfent, Munson Hybrids, Galesburg, Illinois (also Chair of the IPSA Business Development Committee)
- Second Vice President – Chuck Cornelius, Cornelius Seed, Bellevue, Iowa (also Chair of the IPSA Member Services Committee)
- Secretary – Lou Buice, Golden Acres Genetics, Waco, Texas
- Treasurer – Carl Peterson, Peterson Farms Seed, Inc., Harwood, N. Dakota
IPSA also recognized two leaders whose second term on the IPSA Board of Directors had ended, making them ineligible for re-election. Carol Heesaker with Producer’s Choice/Grassland Central, Jordan, Minnesota and Dennis Lutgen with Star Seed, Beloit and Osborne, Kansas were recognized for their dedicated service to IPSA.
