American Vanguard Corporation (NYSE:AVD), today announced the appointment of Certis Europe BV as AMVAC’s primary European distribution partner for its soil nematicide/insecticide Mocap (Ethoprophos), acquired from Bayer Crop Science, LLC in December 2010. Certis Europe has been granted exclusive distribution rights to Mocap in its direct sales territory that includes the UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Mocap is a leading soil nematicide/insecticide that is registered in 50 countries where it is used to combat many nematode and insect species in a wide range of crops.

Certis Europe is well-positioned in the high value fruit and vegetable crops that are important for Mocap and has considerable expertise in this market sector gained through marketing of Kanesho Soil Treatment’s range of soil fumigant products as part of the Certis CleanStart range.
