Ola Nilsson has been appointed Technical Advisor for Maribo Seed in Sweden to give technical support to the Swedish sugar beet growers as to their choice of varieties etc. Ola Nilsson (39 years) replaces Bertil Löfvendahl, Sales Manager, who retired.
Ola Nilsson took his education in 1999 at Alnarp, the Agricultural University in Sweden and the first years he was employed as Sales Manager in the agricultural machinery business. Since 2003 Ola and his wife operate the wife’s family farm - a farm of 225 ha in Klagstorp near Trelleborg, and on 45 ha Ola grows sugar beets.
- I prefer to have sugar beets in the rotation, and my new job gives me the opportunity to meet colleagues and to exchange experiences. I think that to the sugar beet growers it is fruitful that their consultant is well-experienced in practical growing, Ola Nilsson says.
Among other things he will follow the local trial process and participate in field days and other arrangements related to agriculture with the aim to maintain and develop the position of Maribo Seed at the Swedish market.
You will have the opportunity to meet both Ola Nilsson and Bertil Löfvendahl at the agricultural fair “Borgeby Fältdagar”, north to Malmø, 30 June and 1 July, where Maribo Seed is represented together with Nordic Sugar.
