United Kingdom - New varieties, novel traits and low carbon production take centre stage at RAGT open days

United Kingdom
April 2022

Visitors to RAGT’s open days in June will be able to compare and contrast an extensive range of innovative material and view new trials on low-carbon cereal production at the company’s UK headquarters near Ickleton, Cambridgeshire.

Lee Bennett - Managing Director

In last month’s newsletter, we looked at trials using catch/companion crops to make better use of nitrogen in winter wheats (https://www.ragtseeds.co.uk/post/making-better-use-of-nitrogen).

This month, we’re previewing some of the other key features on show, including some very promising winter wheats with a range of valuable traits, some of RAGT’s latest barley prospects, the latest from the company’s fascinating BYDV-resistant wheat trials and a novel way to reduce the carbon footprint of spring barley.

RAGT’s series of open days take place during June. Many merchants, distributors and agronomy companies across the country are booking slots for their customers – call us on 01799 533700 to find out more.

We are also planning an open day exclusively for Growers Club members. Look out for an invitation in your inbox soon!
