Steyer Seeds is expanding its footprint into Central Illinois and maintaining Horizon’sMason City facility as an independent seed company
Tiffin, OH. – Dec. 22, 2010 – Steyer Seeds announced today that it has purchased the majority of the operating assets of Horizon Genetics, Inc., an independent seed company based in Mason City, Ill. A definitive agreement was reached on Dec. 22, 2010.

By purchasing Horizon’s key assets, Steyer Seeds will be able to maintain the current Mason City facility and leverage Horizon’s existing employees, expertise, and products.
