ISTA Project 19-1: Laboratory Survey aims to collect and analyse the needs and motivation of seed testing laboratories to apply advanced digital and computing technologies, such as imaging, artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to improve seed testing methods or processes. The information is only to be used for research purposes aimed at:
- Promoting technology development in the application used for seed testing;
- Analysing and identifying potential solutions and strategies for the speedy application of advanced technology in seed testing;
- Providing information to assist laboratories in making informed decisions on whether to use imaging and AI technologies in seed testing.

Survey 2
ISTA Project 19-1: Technology Provider Survey aims to collect and analyse information from technology providers who could deliver up-to-date technologies for imaging and artificial intelligence (AI). The purpose of this survey is to gather information that will enable seed testing methods or procedures to be advanced or improved. The information is only to be used for research purposes aimed at:
- Promoting technology development in the application used for seed testing;
- Analysing advanced technologies and identifying their potential application for seed testing;
- Recommending solutions and making sound decisions for seed testing laboratories on the application of imaging and AI technologies for seed testing.
