Vegetable pigeonpea: Protein in a pod

Legumes provide much-needed protein for the diets of the poor in the semi-arid tropics. The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics recently published a two part bulletin on vegetable pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan [L.] Millsp.) to promote production and consumption of improved pigeonpea lines: Vegetable Pigeonpea: a High Protein Food for all Ages and Vegetable Pigeonpea Recipes.
