Seed fair in Arusha, Tanzania to launch the new year

On 15 October 2010 staff from AVRDC’s Regional Center for Africa met with partners to discuss the Center’s upcoming seed fair in January 2011 at RCA’s Madiira farm in Arusha.
Representatives from nongovernmental organization IFDC and four seed companies (East Africa Seeds, Meru Agro Tours and Consultant, Multiflower, and Alpha Seeds) that are
commercializing AVRDC’s improved vegetable lines attended.

The participants agreed to set up display booths and establish demonstration plots for the fair.
Seed companies welcomed the chance to be involved in planning the event, as seed fairs offer them the opportunity to interact closely with their customers.
