International Seed Testing Association - Registration is open for the current GMO Proficiency Test round
Bassersdorf, Switzerland
April 14, 2021
ISTA Member Laboratories are eligible to participate in all rounds of the ISTA Proficiency Test (PT) programme. Furthermore the GMO Proficiency Test is also open to any other laboratory involved in GM seed testing. The aim of the GMO Proficiency Test is to assess the ability of individual laboratories to detect the presence or absence of GM seeds and to quantify and identify their presence in samples of conventional seeds. Participants may choose their own methods.
Since GMO testing has been included in the ISTA Accreditation Programme, participation in the ISTA PTs on GMO testing is compulsory for laboratories currently in the process of accreditation in GM seed testing. Participation is voluntary for non-accredited laboratories, who want to benchmark themselves with accredited laboratories and prepare themselves for ISTA Accreditation in the future.
We would hereby like to inform you about the 23rd ISTA GMO Proficiency Test round (Soybean) and the planning for 2021. You can find the full announcement here.
