USA - BASF’s Cevya fungicide receives additional crop registrations for use on berries, cucurbits and bulb, fruiting and root vegetables

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA
January 27, 2021

Cevya® fungicide recently received EPA registration on additional crop groups including berries, cucurbits and bulb, fruiting and root vegetables. Cevya fungicide previously received EPA registration on stone and pome fruit, grapes, and tree nuts.

Cevya fungicide offers effective control of key diseases in fruits and vegetables including powdery mildews, Alternaria leaf spots, Monilinia and anthracnose. Fueled by Revysol® fungicide, the first and only isopropanol-azole on the market, Cevya fungicide provides long-lasting residual control against many weather conditions for extended crop protection.

“Cevya fungicide has provided stone and pome fruit, tree nut and grape growers with a unique tool for disease control, and now with the addition of berries and vegetable crops to the label, even more growers can maximize their yield and improve the quailty of their crops,” said Sarah Howard, BASF Specialty Crop Fungicide Product Manager. “Cevya fungicide also provides a mode of action that supplies growers with an additional tool for resistance management.”

For specialty crop growers, who continue to battle troublesome and resistant diseases, Cevya fungicides has a highly favorable regulatory profile and was the first DMI to receive the Reduced Risk classification by the EPA.
