RAGT Seeds UK appoints a new Managing Director

RAGT Seeds UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Bennett as Managing Director, effective from 1 April 2021.

Mr Bennett is a respected and trusted individual with extensive experience in the UK seed industry, having held roles with Openfield Agriculture Limited, CPB Twyford and Dalgety. Most recently he has been Head of Seeds at Openfield Agriculture Limited, a position he has held since May 2010. Current Managing Director of RAGT Seeds, Simon Howell, said: “We are delighted to have been able to attract someone of Lee’s calibre and experience to lead the UK business." “The company has an excellent multi-species portfolio and, with the addition of Lee’s support and leadership within the existing team, we anticipate a bright future for the business and our key partners." “With the appointment of Lee, the board is confident that we have the balance of skills, experience and leadership qualities necessary to identify additional growth opportunities along with advancing the traditional opportunities within the company." “We look forward to Lee’s contribution to the company’s development in what will be an exciting new phase for RAGT Seeds.”
