Nufarm brings change to regional structure and leadership appointments

Australia
September 8, 2020

From 1 October 2020 Nufarm will combine the ANZ and Asia operating regions to deliver further efficiencies to our supply chain and manufacturing capabilities and strengthen the way we use and market our portfolio across the region. The newly created APAC region will incorporate Nufarm’s crop protection operations in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia as well as the Croplands equipment business and Nufarm’s joint venture with Fuhua in China.

Brett Sutherland has been appointed to lead the newly created region and will assume the role of Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific on 1 October 2020. Brett joined Nufarm in 2002 and has held a range of strategic and commercial leadership roles, most recently as Acting Group Executive for Portfolio Solutions.

We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Rico Christensen to the role of Group Executive, Portfolio Solutions.

Mr Christensen has a deep understanding of global crop protection markets and hands on experience in the development and implementation of portfolio strategies. He has more than two decades of experience in the agricultural sector, including from his most recent roles as Global Chief Marketing Officer for UPL and President, North America and ANZ for Arysta.

Mr Christensen will relocate from the United States to Australia once COVID-19 restrictions allow.
