Arysta LifeScience receives U.S. EPA approval for its Evito fungicide for use on sweet corn

Cary, North Carolina, USA
October 19, 2010

Arysta LifeScience North America, LLC announced today the Environmental Protection Agency approval of EVITO Fungicide for use on sweet corn. The Agency approved the expansion of the label for use on wheat, as well. Prior to these expansions, the Evito label included corn, soybeans, fruiting vegetables, celery, peanuts and potatoes.

“Over the last several years, EVITO’s performance in field trials has shown a significant yield increase,” says Marty Wiglesworth, Product Manager, Arysta LifeScience North America. “With the label expansion, we are able to meet our customers needs for additional crops and provide those crops greater options for disease control, plant health benefits, and tolerances to adverse conditions and quicker recovery.”

The formulation of EVITO, a low-use strobilurin fungicide, allows growers to use less active ingredient on their crops. The fungicide’s innovative Xylem-Pro Technology™ allows EVITO to get into the plant in as soon as 15 minutes after treatment, for rapid and reliable protection. EVITO’s performance in field trials, over the last several years, has shown significant increase of yields that growers expect from a premium strobilurin fungicide.
