Corona update
Today, the whole world is dealing with the consequences of the coronavirus outbreak, which is severely affecting our daily lives. The main concern in this situation is to stay safe and healthy. But regular business in many industries is also heavily impacted. This will last for some time to come and we need to work closely together to get through this period.
Health and safety first
To protect our Global EZ employees and facilities and our external business partners, we have taken numerous internal measures, following the advice of national and global health organisations and authorities. All possible hygienic measures have been taken; the vast majority of our staff are working from home and no visitors are allowed at our stations. Customer appointments have been cancelled or are taking place by telephone or Skype. Field visits are being done on an individual basis. We will do our utmost to ensure that anyone connected with Enza Zaden is optimally protected against infection.
Ensuring access to vegetables, worldwide
We are committed to ensuring consumers have continuous access to healthy vegetables, particularly in these exceptional times. Our vegetable breeding business is at the beginning of the food supply chain. No vegetable seed means no vegetables production. To secure continuity of production and distribution of our vegetable seeds, we have implemented extra safety protocols. In markets in full lockdown, most authorities recognise our role in the food supply chain and are allowing us to provide seeds to growers where circumstances permit. We take this role seriously!

Actualización ante el COVID -19 (Corona Virus)
En la actualidad, el mundo entero está lidiando con las consecuencias de la propagación del Corona virus, quien ha tenido un gran efecto en nuestras actividades cotidianas. La mayor preocupación en esta situación es mantenerse a salvo y con buena salud; sin embargo, las operaciones ordinarias de muchas industrias y empresas se han visto severamente afectadas.
Los efectos y su duración son difíciles de estimar por lo que es necesario que trabajemos juntos para superarlo.
La salud y seguridad son prioridad
Para proteger a todos los nuestros empleados e instalaciones como a nuestros clientes, a nivel mundial hemos tomado diversas medidas internas siguiendo las instrucciones y asesoría de instituciones y autoridades sanitarias a nivel mundial. Todas las medidas de higiene necesarias han sido incorporadas a nuestro trabajo diario, hemos pedido a la gran mayoría de nuestros empleados que se queden en sus casas y trabajen de forma telemática, así como hemos restringido la visita de personas externas a nuestras instalaciones.
Las visitas con clientes externos se están realizando por medio de video llamadas haciendo uso de la tecnología existente. Las visitas a campo agrícola se están limitando para hacerse personalizadas en caso de necesidad, por lo que estamos haciendo nuestro mayor esfuerzo para que las interacciones con Enza Zaden sean lo más seguras posibles y evitar así contagios.
Garantizando el abastecimiento de frutas y hortalizas en el mundo entero
Estamos comprometidos a garantizar que los consumidores del mundo entero sigan teniendo acceso al consumo de frutas y hortalizas, particularmente en estos tiempos excepcionales que estamos viviendo. La mejora vegetal es la base de la cadena de producción de alimentos, sin semillas no podría haber productos hortofrutícolas.
Para asegurar la continuidad de la producción y abastecimiento de nuestras semillas hemos implementado medidas y protocolos de seguridad adicionales. En los mercados donde la actividad comercial y personal se encuentra restringida, las autoridades reconocen el rol de las semillas en la cadena de producción de alimentos y nos permiten seguir operando bajo las debidas precauciones y hasta donde las condiciones lo permitan. Nos tomamos muy en serio esta responsabilidad.

Heute beschäftigt sich die ganze Welt mit den Folgen des Coronavirus-Ausbruchs, der unser tägliches Leben stark beeinträchtigt. Das Wichtigste in dieser Situation ist es, sicher und gesund zu bleiben. Das reguläre Geschäft in vielen Branchen ist stark beeinträchtigt. Dies wird noch einige Zeit dauern und wir müssen eng zusammenarbeiten, um diese Zeit zu überstehen.
Die Gesundheit und Sicherheit stehen an erster Stelle
Zum Schutz unserer weltweit tätigen Enza Zaden Mitarbeiter, unserer globalen Einrichtungen und unserer externen Geschäftspartner haben wir zahlreiche interne Maßnahmen ergriffen und dabei den Rat nationaler und globaler Gesundheitsorganisationen und -behörden befolgt. Es wurden alle möglichen hygienischen Maßnahmen ergriffen. Die große Mehrheit unseres Personals arbeitet von zu Hause aus. Besucher sind in unseren Betrieben nicht mehr erlaubt. Kundentermine wurden abgesagt oder finden per Telefon oder Skype statt. Kundenbesuche vor Ort werden auf individueller Absprache durchgeführt. Wir werden alles daran setzen, dass jeder, der mit Enza Zaden in Verbindung steht, optimal vor einer Infektion geschützt ist.
Den Zugang zu Gemüse weltweit sichern
Wir setzten uns dafür ein, dass die Verbraucher, gerade in diesen außergewöhnlichen Zeiten, kontinuierlich Zugang zu gesundem Gemüse haben. Unser Gemüsezuchtbetrieb steht am Anfang der Lebensmittelversorgungskette. Kein Gemüsesaatgut bedeutet keine Gemüseproduktion. Um die Kontinuität der Produktion und des Vertriebs unseres Gemüsesaatguts sicherzustellen, haben wir zusätzliche Sicherheitsrichtlinien eingeführt. Im Lockdown der Märkten erkennen die meisten Behörden unsere Rolle in der Lebensmittelversorgungskette an und erlauben uns, den Landwirten Saatgut zu liefern, wenn es die Umstände erlauben. Wir nehmen diese Rolle sehr ernst!.
