Dear ISTA colleagues,

I was planning to send an email about preparing to meet with you in Verona. An ISTA event I was especially looking forward to.

Now I am emailing to inform you that the ECOM has decided that due to the current worldwide situation with Covid-19 the 2020 ISTA meeting in Verona is cancelled.

This is especially disappointing for our Italian hosts and everyone who has already done a lot of work preparing for the meeting and their presentations. We are looking at ways for a virtual meeting to take place.

Please keep the week of 25-28 May free in your diaries to do some ISTA work and attend a teleconference/webinar on the 2020 Rules proposals and hear about the essential voting items required for the Ordinary General Meeting. Voting by the designated voted members will then be arranged by email. More details available soon.

Watch out for more newsletter/email updates about the changing situation from Andreas and his team at the Secretariat about the annual meeting, workshops and audits planned for this year.
