Last week, Sakata Ornamentals participated in the Royal FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer, with a stand dedicated to Sakata’s Finest Lisianthus in particular.

FloraHolland Trade Fair, held simultaneously with the IFTF Trade Fair in Vijfhuizen, is an event that grows in status every year. Once a small event for growers alongside the HortiFair, the Trade Fair has now taken over and is the major autumn event on the international horticultural calendar. With 3 halls, divided amongst pot (and bedding) plant growers, breeders and traders and cut flower growers, there was a lot to see for the constant stream of visitors over the three days. While official numbers have not yet been published, it was clear to see that this was one of the best attended Aalsmeer Trade Fairs ever. The visitors come from all sectors of the industry, particularly trade, and are increasingly international.

Sakata had an excellent spot close to the passage from Hall 2 to Hall 3, the ‘cut flower hall’. With an incredible display of Lisianthus in vases, arranged on a podium in a colour-scale pattern, and three impressive displays created by our floral designers Emotions Flowers, passers-by were literally drawn to our stand. The vases of Campanula Champion and Matthiola Iron were not passed over either! Plenty of inspiration for visitors to discuss with our stand team.
