Hollar Seeds has been a closely held specialist in cucurbit breeding since 1950. “Thanks to great support from our global network of customers, we are able to compete and stay alive in an ever changing industry environment” says Andy Medina, president.
“At age sixty Hollar Seeds is younger than ever. As never before, we are concentrating on breeding precisely the right varieties that will make money for our customer’s customers.”
The entire staff was honored at the end of the fiscal year with a week of special events, prizes and contests, culminating with a steak barbecue.
Founder Vic Hollar, 94, adds “It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to work in the same building with two sons, a grandson, and the other youngsters.”
