DNASTAR® today announced the release of ArrayStar 4, including QSeq, as an updated microarray and next-gen sequencing technology software suite. The newly released software includes substantial enhancements to the software’s previously released RNA-Seq capabilities and introduces ChIP-Seq data alignment and analysis.
Tom Schwei, Vice President and General Manager of DNASTAR, stated, “This new release of our integrated microarray and next-gen sequencing software delivers outstanding new functionality to life science researchers and complements our existing next-gen templated and de novo assembly and analysis software capabilities quite nicely. With this new release, scientists involved with next-gen data now have a complete suite of products at their fingertips.”
A recent DNASTAR beta tester commented, “I particularly like the fact that we can import both HTS and prior array data on the same samples to compare differences between the two technologies”, bringing a unique capability to the current market.
ArrayStar 4 and QSeq handle data from all major next-gen sequencing and microarray platforms and perform all alignment and analysis on a desktop computer. Schwei commented, “One of the great innovations in our product line is our ability to continue to offer desktop computer processing of data in reasonable timeframes even as next-gen data volumes continue to grow exponentially. Through DNASTAR’s unique algorithms, we are pleased to continue our long tradition of offering easy accessibility for even the largest sample sizes.”
DNASTAR, Inc., Madison, Wisconsin has been a pioneer in the development and sale of desktop software used to increase life scientists’ productivity for more than 25 years. Currently, DNASTAR produces Lasergene, a sequence analysis software suite; SeqMan NGen for the assembly of second and third generation DNA sequence data; ArrayStar, a microarray gene expression visualization and analysis package; QSeq, an RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq data alignment and analysis tool integrated with ArrayStar; and GenVision, a data visualization software application.
