Enza Zaden to open an office in Thailand, its third office in South East Asia

On 12 March 2019, the official Inauguration of Enza Zaden office in Thailand (Banglane, Bangyai) takes place. With the regional headquarters in Malaysia and a subsidiary in Philippines, this is the third office of the vegetable breeding company in South East Asia.

Local experience and knowledge

“Establishing a new office and having a dedicated team in Thailand with local experience and knowledge,  will help to identify the needs of the local growers and the local market. This enables us  to develop the best high performing varieties, totally attuned to the local (climate) conditions,” says Pankaj Malik, Regional Director Enza Zaden Asia.

Close to the market

The growing population in Thailand demands for more and healthier food. Vegetables play an important part in an increasing divers and healthy diet. A challenge for the local growers. With the opening of the new office, Enza Zaden is close to the market, close to the customers.

The best varieties

By using the latest technologies, the vegetable breeding company is able to develop the best varieties. Enza Zaden offers growers high yielding resistant varieties, more product shelf life and less use of fertilizers and pesticides. “Our aim is to support local growers in Thailand in utilizing the full potential of their land and labour. And by doing so, to ensure and increase the grower’s income and to realize food security and safety,” says Malik.
